About Us
Kelley founded Marko Consulting Services Inc. in 2002 to provide his clients with opportunities for transformational learning and change through emotional intelligence and leadership development. At the core of all of Kelley’s work is helping his clients who live and work in an increasingly turbulent world to “be” happier and more loving, peaceful and focused in any situation - a state of being which invariably leads to higher productivity, creativity, innovation, growth, leadership effectiveness and to simply having more fun in both work and life.
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Toronto, Kelley began his professional career in the early 1990's doing process reengineering consulting. Through this life changing experience, he learned that although process reengineering has its utility, the critical component of leadership and emotionally intelligent relationships was often being overlooked and sometimes even ignored.
Through his ongoing experiences, it become startlingly clear to Kelley that in today's complex and increasingly demanding business world it is the creative ideas, energies and talents of people that are the last source of sustainable advantage, performance and productivity for any organization.
Through his journey, he has also learned that it is our fear and resistance to change that is the primary reason why over 80% of all personal and organizational change initiatives fail to achieve their intended results. A fear or resistance that we naturally experience even when these changes promise a healthier or better outcome. Helping others work with and through fear in a productive way has become key in all his work.
Building on his experience and recognitions, Kelley has continued to advance his work of helping to support individuals and organizations in sustaining well-being, performance and productivity by better addressing the often overlooked, and always messy, dimension of human dynamics through emotional intelligence and leadership development.
Kelley brings a practical and innovative perspective that stretches leaders at all levels in organizations. He draws on his own experiences and real life challenges from working in front line through senior leadership positions in industry and from his long-term consulting, coaching and learning facilitation relationships with his clients. Kelley also leverages his prior experience as a professional management consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and in partnership with McKinsey in the area of organization and change strategy.
Kelley is a professional coach, professional facilitator and a certified adult educator. He is a master trainer of emotional intelligence and has had the pleasure of sitting on a North American advisory panel that advances EQ research, development and education. Kelley's formal education has been balanced between a focus on both leadership and management. Kelley holds an MBA from York University, Toronto, Canada and an MA in Leadership and Learning from Royal Roads University, Victoria, Canada.
Kelley has had the pleasure of working in North America, Central America and Europe and working directly with over 5,000 individuals in diverse industries ranging from not-for-profit to Fortune 500 organizations to improve their EQ and leadership skills, competencies and capabilities.
Kelley’s first question for all his clients is “what do you truly want?” From this starting point, your courageous and transformational adventure to higher levels of well-being, performance and productivity will begin.

“Many people create self-imposed restrictions and limitations to experiencing real happiness. Despite what your mind says to you, happiness can never be sustained through people, places and things because all of these are constantly shifting and changing. True happiness is revealed to us when we simply bring the fullness of 'who we truly are' to our experiences in the here and now.”
